DHS Names 10 Nigerians in Latest ICE ‘Worst of the Worst’ Arrest List
The US Department of Homeland Security has added 10 Nigerians to its latest list of immigrants arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. DHS describes the register as its “worst of the worst” list. The individuals listed are Temitope Bashua, Ojehoro Lewis, Osemudiamen Kingsley Oziegbe, Daniel Oworen, Raymond H. Ekevwo, Franklin Dikeocha, Johnson Ogunlana, Chukwuemeka Okorocha, Tunde Korede and Chukwuemeka Chinye. DHS associated the cases with alleged offences including wire fraud, identity theft, drug offences, weapons violations, conspiracy and offences involving children. Being named on the register does not mean the individuals have already been deported. DHS did not provide removal dates or timelines, and the list concerns people arrested by ICE rather than confirmed deportations. The update follows a July publication in which DHS named 124 Nigerians on the same register amid the Trump administration’s intensified immigration enforcement campaign.
