Ronaldo Likes Post Criticising Portugal’s Treatment of Him Amid Camp Exit

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly liked an Instagram post by former Brazil midfielder Felipe Melo, who criticised Portugal’s treatment of the forward amid his reported dispute with coach Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo was said to have left Portugal’s camp after being left on the bench for a 2-1 win over Norway. He later missed Portugal’s 4-2 Nations League victory over Denmark. Melo argued that Ronaldo deserved greater respect and compared his situation with Lionel Messi’s treatment in the Argentina squad. Ronaldo has said he will explain the reasons for his departure from camp at the appropriate time.
