Federal Government to Give Students 100MB Free Data Daily From October 1

The Federal Government says public senior secondary school and tertiary institution students will receive 100MB of free data daily from October 1, 2026. The data will provide zero-rated access to approved educational websites and digital learning platforms. The programme is being implemented by the Nigerian Communications Commission, telecom operators and the Federal Ministry of Education. Education Minister Tunji Alausa said the initiative will begin with senior secondary and tertiary students before expanding to other categories of learners.
