Bellingham’s Extra-Time Brace Sends England into World Cup Semis

Bellingham’s Extra-Time Brace Sends England into World Cup Semis

Jude Bellingham scored twice to power England to a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway and secure a place in the World Cup semi-finals. Norway took the lead through Andreas Schjelderup’s first-half strike, but England drew level on the stroke of half-time when Bellingham calmly finished from Anthony Gordon’s assist. England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made a series of crucial saves as Norway pressed for a winner. A VAR review also ruled out Norway’s late goal and overturned a penalty in extra time. With the match heading towards penalties, Bellingham reacted quickest to a rebound inside the box to rifled home the winner. England will now face the winner of Argentina vs Switzerland in the last four.

Do you think one extra-time goal really proves England's resilience throughout the tournament, or is that reading too much into a single moment?

England needed extra time to beat Norway despite dominating possession, which suggests their finishing might still be a weakness.

I no too convinced say extra-time heroics will carry England past stronger teams in the semis.

England must focus on converting early chances if they want to avoid late drama and preserve energy for the next match.
