Choose Joy Over Bitterness While You Wait

It can be painful to watch others receive the opportunities, marriages, careers or breakthroughs we have prayed for. But another person’s blessing does not mean God has forgotten us. We are called to rejoice with those who rejoice, even when our own expectations have not yet been fulfilled. Disappointment is real, but we should not allow it to grow into envy, bitterness or withdrawal from others. Faith means trusting God’s wisdom and timing while remaining kind, hopeful and sincere. We can celebrate another person’s testimony and still bring our own desires honestly before God. May we receive the grace to remain joyful, faithful and loving in every season of life.
