Igbo Spiritual Mothers Visit Nnamdi Kanu in Prison, Invoke Ancestral Blessings for His Release
Titled Spiritual Mothers of Igboland paid a solemn visit to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu at Sokoto Prison on Wednesday. They were led by Chief Mrs. Oliaku Chika Ibeneme (Nne Mmanwu Igbo Niine) and accompanied by Lolo Eze Nwanyi Nnewi. During the visit, the priestesses extended maternal affection to Kanu, embracing him as their cherished son. They presented symbolic gifts, offered powerful prayers, and invoked ancestral blessings on behalf of all Igbo mothers—those living and those who have joined the ancestors. They also announced plans to engage paramount rulers, traditional leaders, and spiritual authorities across Nigeria in a broader campaign to secure Kanu’s unconditional release. Chief Mrs. Ibeneme urged all sons and daughters of Ala-Igbo and people of conscience everywhere to unite in fervent prayers for justice, harmony, and his immediate freedom.
