Obi Urges Youths to Lead Nigeria’s Rebuild, Not Rely on 84-Year-Old Adeboye
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, told young Nigerians they cannot expect 84-year-old Pastor Enoch Adeboye to shoulder the nation’s rebuilding. He warned against allowing “self-centred” politicians to stoke ethnic tensions and urged youths to question every narrative, verify facts, and resist manipulation. Obi described Adeboye as a revered father of faith who has preached peace and unity for decades. Yet he stressed that the task of reforming Nigeria rests primarily on the younger generation. Meanwhile, the RCCG general overseer called on security chiefs to eliminate terrorists within 90 days or resign, as kidnappings and attacks continue to rock the country.
