Ejiofor Urges NBA to Make ‘Beyond Limits’ a Push for Ethical Reform
Human rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has urged the Nigerian Bar Association to use its 66th Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt to confront ethical lapses, professional indiscipline and internal divisions within the legal profession. He said the conference theme, “Beyond Limits ’26,” should mean more than speeches, networking and ceremonies. According to him, it should lead to a Bar that is more ethical, courageous, united, accessible and responsive to Nigerians whose rights lawyers are meant to defend. Ejiofor also described the inauguration of Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, as NBA president as historic. He called on the new leadership to pursue reforms that restore public trust and strengthen the association’s moral authority.
