Man Alleges Friend Married His Fiancée and Moved Into House He Rented

A businessman has taken his former fiancée and friend before an Upper Area Court in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, alleging conspiracy, cheating, breach of trust and threats to his life. He told the court that his friend allegedly married his fiancée after she persuaded him to attend what he believed was a marital rite at the friend’s home in 2025. According to the complainant, the couple later moved into a house he had rented for their intended marriage and began using items he bought. Both defendants pleaded not guilty and were granted bail of ₦200,000 each. The case was adjourned until November 10 for hearing.
