Peter Odemwingie Shares How Curiosity Led Him to Christianity

Former Super Eagles forward Peter Odemwingie says he gave his life to Christ at age 21 after a period of studying philosophy and asking questions about faith. He said he made the decision after his first season with Lille, during a visit to Christ Embassy in Benin. Odemwingie added that he has remained committed to his faith and often read the Bible with former national-team teammate Austin Ejide. The 2008 Olympic silver medallist retired from professional football in 2018 after scoring 11 goals in 65 appearances for Nigeria. He has since completed PGA training and now plays professional golf.
