MOUAU Urged to Address Allegations Through Proper Channels
I believe concerns about Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike should be presented through recognised institutional and government channels rather than anonymous publications. Allegations involving the university’s leadership, finances and Governing Council should be supported with clear evidence and identifiable sources. Reports had alleged that groups called for the removal of the Pro-Chancellor and Governing Council Chairman, Comrade Fidelis Edeh, over claims of a leadership crisis and interference in university affairs. However, the individuals and groups behind the reported claims were not clearly identified. One council member mentioned in a separate report, Prof. Ononuju, has reportedly denied protesting, arguing or signing a document seeking an extension of his tenure. I urge anyone with credible evidence of wrongdoing to submit it to the relevant authorities for investigation.
