Ejiofor Calls for Urgent Rescue of Abducted NYSC Members

Human rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has called for the immediate and safe rescue of NYSC members reportedly abducted while travelling to the South-East for their national service. He said the incident highlights the danger faced by young Nigerians on the country’s highways. He urged security agencies to intensify rescue efforts and provide support for the victims’ families. Ejiofor also called for a proactive, intelligence-driven security system. He said stronger surveillance, threat detection and rapid-response measures are needed to prevent further kidnappings of corps members and other road users.
