Temptation to sexual immorality can strike anytime. The Bible’s command is simple: flee. Don’t pause to debate or reason. Run away from the situation. Just as Joseph left his coat behind to escape Potiphar’s advances, you must remove yourself completely. Turn your gaze, close the browser, or if necessary, sell the device. Do whatever it takes to avoid impurity. Purity isn’t legalism. It’s recognising that our bodies can provoke desire. Cover yourself modestly and guard your eyes. Whether single or married, surround yourself with allies who support your commitment to holiness. Think of your spouse’s trust and your family’s security. One moment of lust can destroy all that.
