Amazon Recasts Kratos After Lead Actor’s Severe Bicep Injury
Amazon’s live-action God of War series has replaced its lead following a serious injury on set. Ryan Hurst, originally cast as Kratos, tore his bicep during a stunt in Vancouver. The injury demands surgery and extended rehab, making it impossible for him to return in time. Rather than delay production, Amazon Studios has opted to recast the role. Filming had already been paused while hopes remained that Hurst might recover later this year. The series features Íaður Darri Ílafsson as Thor and Mandy Patinkin as Odin. Amazon has not yet announced the new actor who will take on the role of Kratos.
