Amokachi recalled owning a Porsche, modelling and meeting global celebrities after his rise to stardom at 17. He said the lifestyle left him unprepared for the financial pressures that followed. He said his father’s decision to invest part of his earnings in property became his safety net. According to Amokachi, those assets gave him something to sell and helped him recover when his finances collapsed.
