Glasner Slams VAR After Neco Williams’ Goal Is Ruled Out Against Tottenham

Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner has criticised VAR after Neco Williams’ late goal was disallowed in the side’s 0-0 Premier League draw with Tottenham Hotspur. Referee Craig Pawson initially awarded the 67th-minute goal after a scramble in the Tottenham box. However, VAR overturned the decision after deciding that Williams handled the ball before it crossed the line. Glasner said there was no clear and obvious evidence to reverse the referee’s original call. He also argued that Tottenham’s Mohammed Kudus had fouled Williams during the incident. The Forest manager admitted his side should have taken earlier chances, including an opportunity for Morgan Gibbs-White, but maintained that the disputed VAR call denied them a possible victory.
