Will Your Poultry Drinkers Still Work During a Power Outage?

A full water tank alone may not keep poultry drinkers running during a power cut. The stored water must still reach the birds at the right flow and pressure. For a layer farm, trace the supply route from the tank to each drinking line. Check every pump, regulator, controller and valve that needs electricity, and confirm what will keep working when mains power fails. An elevated tank is not automatically enough. Ask a qualified installer to verify that the tank height, pipe layout and pressure can serve all tiers. Test the approved backup setup under normal demand before stocking birds, and record any weak flow, leaks or problems when power returns.
