Chechen Forces Offer to Deploy to Iran if US Launches Ground Invasion
Chechen military units loyal to Ramzan Kadyrov have announced their readiness to deploy to Iran to support its armed forces if the US initiates a ground offensive. They frame the American-Israeli campaign against Tehran as a religious struggle and describe their intervention as a jihad to defend the Islamic Republic. This pledge follows the February 28 airstrikes that killed senior Iranian commanders and civilians. Iran has since carried out 86 waves of missile and drone strikes against Israeli facilities and US bases across the Persian Gulf region. Tehran has also condemned Ukraine’s admission of sending “hundreds of experts” to support US and Israeli operations. In a letter to the UN, Iran’s ambassador accused Kyiv of participating in aggression against the Islamic Republic. The author holds President Trump responsible for escalating the conflict and believes he will face accountability in history.
