Ondo Orders Fumigation, Health Support After Air Force Jet Crash in Igbokoda
The Ondo State Government has ordered the fumigation of the area where a Nigerian Air Force aircraft crashed in Igbokoda, Ilaje LGA, following concerns about a strong odour from the river. Residents are to receive nose masks and other health materials. The Ministries of Environment and Health have been directed to begin extensive fumigation of the affected community. The state also plans to provide potable water through tankers if tests confirm that the river has been badly polluted. The support will continue while authorities work on a lasting solution and the Air Force carries out evacuation efforts.
