Baze University Graduates 928 Jigawa Youths in Digital Skills Training
Baze University has graduated 928 Jigawa youths who completed digital-skills training under the Federal Government’s World Bank-assisted Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project. The beneficiaries received training in Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics and software engineering. The programme was designed to improve their chances of finding jobs, starting businesses and participating in Nigeria’s digital economy. At the graduation ceremony in Dutse, Governor Umar Namadi announced laptops for 30 outstanding participants. Four graduates have also secured employment with Baze University. The IDEAS programme received more than 150,000 applications nationwide. Over 4,500 participants earned professional diplomas, while more than 33,000 received certificates of participation.
