Wike Hails Appeal Court Ruling as Opportunity to Rebuild PDP Unity

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, says the Court of Appeal’s judgment nullifying the Ibadan convention offers the PDP a fresh start to restore unity. He noted that the court found the party failed to follow the 1999 Constitution, the Electoral Act 2022, and its own guidelines. Wike stressed that compliance with due process is non-negotiable. Wike urged members to drop personal interests and prepare for a valid national convention on March 29-30, 2026 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome. He added that a National Caretaker Committee will manage party affairs until new officers are elected.
