Why Cole Palmer Will Not Miss Chelsea’s Next Premier League Match After Tottenham Red Card

Cole Palmer will remain available for Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture despite being sent off in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The midfielder received two yellow cards, with the second coming in the 80th minute after a challenge on former Chelsea player Conor Gallagher. It was the first red card of Palmer’s career. His automatic one-match ban applies across English domestic competitions. With Chelsea due to face Liverpool in the EFL Cup, Palmer is expected to serve the suspension in that match rather than miss a league game.
