The Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) conducted a statewide operation from Sunday night into Monday, targeting identified blackspots, shanties, and criminal hideouts across the metropolis. The intelligence-led raid relied on community informants and collaboration with security agencies. A total of 279 suspects—274 men and five women—were arrested for offences including theft, public nuisance and possession of weapons and illicit drugs. Some suspects were found in vehicles used for livestock transport, and two were caught attempting to steal a pumping machine.
