Can ADC and NDC Challenge APC and PDP in Osun Ahead of 2027?
Congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election in Osun State. I believe the opposition should be focusing more seriously on its strategy for 2027 rather than mocking President Bola Tinubu. The cordial relationship between Adeleke and Tinubu, which was visible during the events in Oyo, could shape political calculations in Osun. With about 784,000 votes cast and the APC still polling more than 300,000 votes, I think the party retains a strong base in the state. If Adeleke works with Tinubu in 2027, the APC could also benefit from a significant share of PDP support. Aregbesola's political influence appears to have declined in Osun. How can the ADC and the NDC realistically build enough support to compete with the APC and PDP electorate in 2027?
