ADC Warns Peter Obi’s Anambra Is Lagging in Digital Membership Drive
The Anambra chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it is trailing in digital membership registration. The party fears this may weaken its grassroots strength ahead of the 2027 general elections. During a Tuesday meeting at the ADC secretariat in Awka, state executives reviewed strategies to boost online registration. Chairman Patrick Obianyo urged local government leaders to intensify efforts and recruit new members via the party’s digital platform. Obianyo revealed that Anambra has recorded only about 6,000 new registrations. This figure falls short of the party’s expectations and lags behind other states in the nationwide drive. The ADC plans to launch targeted campaigns across local councils to accelerate its digital membership push and ensure a stronger presence in Anambra State.
