Security Forces Rescue 10 Kidnapped NYSC Members in Kogi Forest Operation
Security agencies have rescued 10 NYSC members who were abducted while travelling from Abuja to Bayelsa State last week. The corps members were freed during a joint operation in Egume Forest, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State. The operation involved the police, military, DSS and other security personnel. The victims were among 15 corps members reportedly kidnapped by suspected armed criminals, who allegedly demanded ₦20 million ransom for each person. Security agencies say operations are continuing to rescue the remaining five victims and apprehend those responsible.
