The tumour had caused severe hormone imbalance and worsening vision problems, and doctors said he risked blindness without surgery. During the operation, an AI system analysed live camera footage and colour-coded critical structures, including nerves and blood vessels. The surgical team remained fully in control while using the tool to avoid damaging delicate areas near the tumour. The patient reportedly regained clear vision after the surgery and returned to work. Researchers say the technology could help surgeons identify important anatomy more safely during complex brain procedures.
