Atiba University DVC Climbs Fence as Law Students Protest Programme Ban
A video circulating online appears to show Atiba University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor climbing a fence after Law students reportedly blocked the usual exit during a protest. The protest followed a heated confrontation over the reported 10-year ban on the university’s Law programme. The DVC was also alleged to have described some of the protesting students as “intellectually bankrupt.” The incident has sparked fresh reactions over the dispute and the welfare of affected Law students.
