Navy Recovers 80,000 Litres of Suspected Stolen Crude, Arrests Three in Delta Operations
The Nigerian Navy says it recovered about 80,000 litres of crude oil during two anti-oil theft operations in Delta State. NNS DELTA reportedly found 30,000 litres in a dugout reservoir in Oteghele on 21 September and another 50,000 litres in Obodo Amadino on 23 September. The crude oil was handled under established procedures. In a separate joint operation with the NDLEA in the Warri area, naval personnel arrested three suspected drug traffickers. Officers reportedly seized about 15 kilogrammes of cannabis, as well as small quantities of cocaine and crystal meth. The suspects and exhibits were transferred to the NDLEA for investigation.
