Drones Eliminate Over 20 ISWAP Fighters in Borno’s Marte LGA
On 21 July 2026, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI launched a precision drone strike at Kila Bariya in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State. The attack destroyed an ISWAP logistics and assembly point in the Southern Lake Chad area. More than 20 suspected terrorists were killed and over 30 newly acquired motorcycles were wiped out. Troops also demolished a major ISWAP food storage facility stocked with beans and other supplies seized from local farming communities. The strike is expected to hinder the group’s efforts to regroup in Marte, Ngala and Dikwa LGAs.
