Sanwo-Olu Urges Lagos Opposition to Offer Credible Alternatives to APC
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged opposition parties to present practical ideas that can compete with the APC’s development agenda, rather than pursuing change without a clear alternative. Speaking at the Yoruba Tennis Club’s centenary lecture in Onikan, Lagos, Sanwo-Olu argued that continuity in government has supported major projects in the state since 1999. He cited the Blue and Red Line rail projects, reforms to tax administration and investments in public services. The governor said the APC intends to build on reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu. He also highlighted his administration’s THEMES+ agenda, including public universities, the Imota Rice Mill, digital learning initiatives, health infrastructure and the proposed Lagos food logistics hub at Ketu-Ereyun.
