Akure Court Remands Twin Brothers for Alleged Rape of 15-Year-Old Girl
The Akure Chief Magistrate’s Court has ordered twin brothers Eyinloju Taiwo and Eyinloju Kehinde to be held at Olokuta Correctional Centre over allegations of raping a 15-year-old girl. They face a four-count charge filed by the Ondo State Amotekun Corps. Prosecutor O.F. Baba told the court the offences took place on March 12, 2026, between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. at Abisi Street, Ikamu Quarters, Oka Akoko. He said the brothers had unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim, identified as Busayo Bakare, without her consent. They are also accused of abducting another person, Juliet Oke, to facilitate the crime. The charges cite Sections 357, 516 and 558 of the Criminal Code and the Ondo State Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Abduction Law. Defence counsel D.S. Omnidougha requested time to file a counter-affidavit. Magistrate Damilola Sekoni adjourned the case until April 22, 2026, for the remand application hearing.
