X users have raised more than ₦14 million for Felix Madumere Nwachikerendu after his story of perseverance through university gained attention online. He reportedly fetched water, washed clothes for other students, hawked peanuts and sometimes slept in classrooms while trying to fund his education. He was once unable to pay his fees and was withdrawn after failing to meet the required CGPA. Felix reportedly sat for JAMB again, secured another admission and eventually completed his degree. Donations began after he announced that he had defended his final-year project. Organisers say he will also receive financial guidance to help him manage the support.
