10-Year-Old Boy in France Charged with Attempted Murder and Rape of Jogger

A 10-year-old boy has been charged in France with attempted murder and rape after allegedly attacking a 22-year-old woman jogging in Saint-Brieuc’s Goudic Valley park. French media report that the suspect ordered the woman to remove her clothes. When she refused, he reportedly stabbed her once in the arm and once in the abdomen before fleeing. Nearly a week later, police arrested a youth matching the victim’s description. Investigators recovered a knife and clothing believed to have been used in the attack. Official documents list his age as 10, but medical exams suggest he could be older. He is said to have arrived from Kinshasa about a year ago to live with his father.
