Ajax and Bayern Munich Set to Open Kenya’s Raila Odinga International Stadium

Ajax and Bayern Munich are set to play the inaugural match at Kenya’s Raila Odinga International Stadium in Nairobi on January 5, 2027. The 60,000-capacity venue, also called Talanta Sports Stadium, has been under construction since 2024. It is expected to be one of the key venues for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations in East Africa. The friendly will bring together two of Europe’s most successful clubs as Kenya prepares to host major AFCON fixtures and international rugby matches at the new stadium.
