Judge Judy Retires From TV Courtroom After 30 Years, Son Takes Over With New Show
Judge Judy Sheindlin is stepping away from television after three decades of presiding over courtroom shows. Her current series, Judy Justice, is expected to end in October. The 83-year-old says she wants to move on from the demands of appearing on camera, including hair and makeup, while continuing to share her views through other projects. Sheindlin is producing Adam’s Law, a new court programme led by her 58-year-old son, Adam Levy. The series premieres on September 14, and Levy says it will feature real cases and people seeking real justice. Sheindlin believes her son is ready for the role, saying he has the talent to succeed her in television.
