Ebonyi College of Nursing, Uburu, Secures Accreditation for ND, HND and Midwifery Programmes
Ebonyi State College of Nursing Sciences, Uburu, says it has received full accreditation for its ND and HND Nursing programmes from the National Board for Technical Education, as well as Nursing and Midwifery programmes from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. The Provost, Patricia Nwankwagu, announced the development during an interface with the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Education. She said the college also placed first at the South-East Nurses Olympiad Quiz Competition and second nationally in 2025. She cited new classroom facilities, a 400-capacity hall, a borehole for the staff lodge, an ongoing 800-bed hostel project, an ICT hall, expanded sports facilities and water storage for hostels among recent developments. The college appealed for an amendment to its enabling law to reflect current needs. The House committee said the visit was to assess the institution's operations, progress and challenges, and pledged continued legislative support.
