FIFA Bans Musa and Aghahowa’s Former Turkish Clubs From Signing Players
FIFA has imposed three-transfer-window registration bans on four Turkish clubs over unresolved debts. Kayserispor, Sivasspor, Sariyer and Serik Belediyespor cannot register new players unless they settle the cases behind the sanctions. Kayserispor faces two separate cases, while each of the other clubs faces one. The ruling has a Nigerian angle. Kayserispor previously featured Julius Aghahowa and Yakubu Aiyegbeni, while Ahmed Musa played for Sivasspor. Nigerian forward Jonathan Okoronkwo is also currently with Sivasspor. The bans can be lifted before the three registration periods end if the clubs clear their outstanding obligations.
