Why I Walk Away from Unreasonable People
I’ve noticed that many full-grown adults act unreasonably once money is involved. Even elders or those who present themselves as pastors can surprise you. Not long ago, I tried a quick business deal with a man in his seventies. I assumed he had dignity and integrity, but he revealed his true colors once cash changed hands. Thankfully, I had the wisdom to step away. Wickedness always has consequences—it’s like “buy now, pay later.” Many only learn when karma catches up. To protect my peace and keep a clear conscience, I simply leave such people alone, as Jesus taught. Focus on pleasing God first. Others will face the outcome of their own actions. 2 Timothy 4:14 warns that those who harm will be repaid. Philippians 3:2 urges us to beware of evil workers.
