Woman Returning from UK Dies in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash En Route to Wedding
On Monday, March 23 at about 6 p.m., a white Toyota Camry carrying three passengers collided with a moving truck at the Christopher University section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. According to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, the Camry was speeding when it rammed into the truck. One female passenger, who had just returned from the United Kingdom to attend a wedding, died at the scene. The other two occupants were rushed to Famobis and Redeemed hospitals with injuries. The body of the deceased was deposited at the Redeemed Hospital morgue. The agency’s spokesperson extended condolences to the families and reminded drivers to avoid excessive speed and observe traffic regulations.
