FG Launches 100 Electric Buses to Ease Federal Civil Servants’ Commutes
The Federal Government has inaugurated a 100-bus electric mass transit scheme aimed at providing safer, more reliable and more affordable transportation for federal civil servants. Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, said 37 buses have been delivered in the first phase, while the remaining vehicles will be deployed later. The project is funded through the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund. Officials said the buses are expected to reduce workers’ transport costs, improve punctuality and support cleaner public transportation. Civil servants were urged to treat the buses as shared public assets and use them responsibly.
