Zulum Blames Intelligence Lapse for Boko Haram Attack That Killed Brig-Gen. Braimoh in Benesheik

Despite the tip-off, insurgents struck at dawn on Thursday, killing Brigadier General OO Braimoh and several others. The governor calls it one of the most surprising raids he has seen. Zulum has urged the military to review its security architecture and questioned local leaders on their handling of the intelligence. He pledged continued state support for troops, vigilantes, and affected communities, warning that Benesheik must never fall again.
