Aduku Backs Falconets Stars to Earn Future Super Falcons Call-Ups
Falconets coach Moses Aduku says several members of Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team have the quality to progress to the Super Falcons after their strong showing at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. Nigeria recovered from a slow start to reach the quarter-finals. Captain Christianah Uzoma played a key role in the Round of 16 win over England, saving Rachel Maltby’s penalty in the 33rd minute. Winner Onajite David and Ramotalahi Kareem have scored three goals each, while Janet Akekoromowei, Tosin Rafiu and Rebecca Adegbemile have added two goals apiece. Aduku says the tournament is an important platform for the players to prepare for a future step up to the senior national team.
