Defending NPFL champions Rangers secured their first win of the season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Nasarawa United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri. The Matchday 3 fixture was suspended in the 63rd minute on Thursday because of heavy rain. Play resumed on Friday morning, with Rangers holding on to claim all three points. Sunday Dapman gave Nasarawa United the lead in the 39th minute, but Chidozie Iwundu equalised two minutes later. Daniel Itodo scored eight minutes from full time to seal the comeback. Rangers moved up to eighth place with four points from two matches. Nasarawa United dropped to 14th with three points from three games.
