Man City CEO Says Premier League Legal Battle Could Take Much Longer

Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano says the club’s legal dispute with the Premier League is far from over and could take much longer to resolve. Speaking after a meeting of European club officials in Copenhagen, Soriano reportedly said City disagreed with the ruling and remained confident of its position. He noted that the process had already lasted about eight years. The case concerns alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules, including claims over financial reporting, player remuneration and cooperation with the investigation. City has consistently denied wrongdoing and says key parts of the process are still ongoing. Former manager Roberto Mancini, whose reported pay was among the issues raised, said the matter was City’s responsibility and not his own.
