Senate Bans Christian Preachers from Delivering Sermons Inside Buses
I support the Senate’s new rule that stops Christian preachers from preaching inside public buses. Lawmakers say these evangelists have become a public nuisance and disrupt commuters. Two months ago in Ughelli, I watched a man move from one woman to another in a market. He sprayed what he called anointing oil on their palms, held a Bible and declared promises that the government should deliver. He expected each woman to give him money before moving on. These preachers often go after women, hoping for easy donations. I believe this ban will protect vulnerable Nigerians and restore peace on our public transport.
