How Note-Taking Became One of My Most Valuable Skills
I first learned the value of note-taking in JSS1, when my sister-in-law taught us and served as our school bursar. Writing down every word she dictated was difficult at first, but her patience and encouragement made the habit easier to build. I have always valued commendation. A sincere “well done” motivates me to improve, while needless condemnation does not. I pursue excellence, but I also believe progress deserves recognition. From secondary school through university, note-taking became one of my strengths. My training in Linguistics sharpened my ability to listen, identify important points and record them clearly. That skill now helps me greatly whenever I serve as a secretary and take meeting minutes. The shortest pen is still better than the longest memory. Allah ya sa mu dace!
