Adeleke Urges Tinubu to Ensure Security Agencies Protect Osun Election Results

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged President Bola Tinubu to direct security agencies to protect the electoral process and prevent disruptions at collation centres. He said reports of alleged attempts by politicians to hijack or disrupt the collation process were troubling, despite the deployment of security personnel across the state. Adeleke called on the police, DSS, military, NSCDC and other agencies to support INEC in concluding the process peacefully, transparently and in line with the votes cast by Osun residents.

Clear access rules, visible accreditation, and prompt reporting of incidents could help keep collation orderly and make any disruption easier to verify.
