Satellite Images Show US Strikes Damaged Over 50 Iranian Military Sites
Satellite analysis has identified damage at more than 50 Iranian military and IRGC bases since the conflict began on 28 February. Runways, aircraft, warships and ballistic missile facilities were among the sites hit by US and Israeli attacks. Despite a month-long ceasefire, fresh strikes followed the downing of a US helicopter and an exchange of attacks around Beirut and southern Iran. Imagery also suggests Tehran has begun repairs on tunnel entrances at key missile bases. Experts say while Iran’s air force and navy have suffered heavy losses, its missile and drone capabilities still pose a threat. Economic constraints may limit Tehran’s ability to rebuild fully, but its “mosquito fleet” of small vessels and exported Shahed drones remain a concern. Civilian buildings have also been hit, with human rights groups reporting over 1,700 deaths. The US military disputes the scale of civilian casualties. Both sides continue limited strikes across the wider region in a cycle of self-defence moves.
