Borno Police Arrest 103 Suspects, Seize Drugs and Weapons in Maiduguri Raids

Police in Borno State say they arrested 103 suspects during coordinated patrols and raids across Maiduguri. The suspects are being investigated for alleged public nuisance, possession and sale of illicit drugs, and possession of dangerous weapons. Police reported recovering hundreds of wraps and packs of suspected drugs, including cannabis, Colorado and methamphetamine, along with codeine syrup and other controlled substances. Officers also seized knives, a cutlass, an axe, 11 rounds of ammunition and shisha equipment. Borno Police Command spokesperson ASP Nahum Daso said investigations are ongoing and suspects found culpable will be prosecuted. The command urged residents to report suspicious activity and criminal hideouts.
